Why this form?
-도록 하다 — “see to it that” may give an instruction or goal; -게 하다 directly conveys causation.
How to build it
Stem + -게 + 하다. Tense and speech level are marked on 하다. In 아이를 웃게 하다, 아이를 is the person caused to laugh.
